Effects on People:
Population affects deforestation in a positive and negative way. Population growth fuels deforestation because if more people are moving to a certain region, they will need more space to live. The only solution to an overcrowded area is to cut down forests that people deem unnecessary. Also, population density increases in urban areas. That can be good for tourism and businesses, but it causes less job opportunities. Last, some ethnic groups live in forests and woodlands. Animals aren’t the only things losing their homes. Deforestation takes away the lives of people that reside in the forest.
