Deforestation is the permanent demolition of trees, forests,
and woodlands. It has recently
taken over South Asia because the citizens want resources and farmland that
forests possess. Deforestation
takes away homes for animals and some indigenous groups that built their homes
in the woodlands of South Asia.
This problem is steadily increasing and some people are going at great
lengths to stop this from occurring, but others encourage deforestation. During deforestation, the soil erodes,
making the land unusable. There is
poor water quality, reduced food selection, and decreased flood
protection. If deforestation
doesn’t ruin people’s homes, then the effects of it will.
